  1188: Rotary Volunteers wanted in Benin, West Africa

  The Rotary Club of Cotonou Centre, in Cotonou, Benin, is in the 
  process of forming a partnership with the Vocational Training School 
  for the Disabled in Akassato, Benin.

  Currently, we are looking for a Rotary Volunteer(s) who speaks 
  French and who has experience working in vocational development of 
  disabled, interested in coming to Benin, West Africa. The majority 
  of the students at the vocational center are polio survivors, but 
  not so exclusively; young adults with other disabilities are also 
  present in the center.

  The volunteer would be working both with the students at the school 
  as well as with the school director in order to improve services, 
  increase vocations taught, capacity build, and develop resources. 
  The volunteer would assist the Rotary Club of Cotonou Centre in 
  putting together appropriate projects to suit the needs of the 
  students at the school as well as the school itself.

  The volunteer would live on the school grounds in simple 
  accommodation. The school is located near Cotonou, the main city of 
  Benin, and the campus is simple, pleasant and wooded. The volunteer 
  would apply for a Rotary Volunteer Grant, and the Rotary Club of 
  Cotonou Centre would serve as the host club.
