  RI officers invited to attend fourth annual reunion

  The 2007 Past Officers Reunion will be held at the Omni San Diego 
  Hotel in California, USA, 29-31 January. It will coincide with the 
  International Assembly, slated for 28 January-3 February at the 
  Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. 

  Open to any Rotarian who has previously served as an RI officer, the 
  event was originally planned to fill the void left four years ago 
  when RI stopped organizing the RI institute event, which ran in 
  conjunction with the International Assembly. 

  The reunion program includes meetings with RI President Bill Boyd, as 
  well as with President-elect Wilf Wilkinson and the RI president-
  nominee. Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Luis Vicente Giay and other 
  trustees also are scheduled to participate. RI staff members will be 
  on hand to discuss the organization's latest developments.

  Last year's reunion brought together more than 450 senior leaders, 
  including the RI president, as well as past and present RI directors, 
  Rotary Foundation trustees, and RI officers from 24 countries. 

  Registration is US$140 for Rotarians and $90 for guests. The fee 
  includes a reception, an evening banquet with a keynote speaker, and 
  two days of informational and motivational meetings. For the first 
  time, organizers are planning a four-day Home Hospitality program 
  hosted by Arizona and Southern California Rotarians immediately after 
  the reunion. 

  Rooms at the Omni San Diego Hotel are $195 per night if reservations 
  are made by 10 January. Participants contacting the hotel for room 
  reservations should mention the Past Officers Reunion. 

  The Omni is within walking distance from the Hyatt, but inexpensive 
  trolleys and bicycle cabs are available.
