Service Above Self Award deadline is 1 September 

Rotary International News 

Nominations for the Service Above Self Award are due 1 September 
2007, and must arrive at Rotary International World Headquarters by 
that date to be considered. 

The Service Above Self Award is Rotary International's highest honour 
for individual Rotarians. The award recognizes individual Rotarians 
who have demonstrated exemplary humanitarian service with an emphasis 
on personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping 
others through Rotary. A maximum of 150 recipients are selected each 
year. 

Nomination forms may only be submitted by district governors, 
immediate past district governors, current RI directors, or past RI 
directors, and only three nominations may be sent in for 
consideration.

Any Rotarian in good standing is eligible, except for the following 
RI officers: district governors, district governors-elect, Foundation 
Trustees, Foundation Trustee-designate, past Foundation Trustees 
(within two years of having held that position), RI directors, past 
RI directors (within two years of having held that position), and RI 
directors-elect.
