  Deadline for 2006-07 Presidential Citation approaching 

  Rotary International News 

  District governors have until 15 April 2007 to submit a list of 
  qualifying Rotary and Rotaract clubs for the 2006-07 Presidential 
  Citation to RI World Headquarters in Evanston, Illinois, USA. Please 
  note that these lists must arrive at the Secretariat by that date. 

  Participating clubs are encouraged to submit certification forms to 
  their district governors as soon as possible. Governors must provide 
  RI with a complete list of qualifying clubs by 15 April in order for 
  those clubs to receive the Presidential Citation.

  The purpose of the Presidential Citation is to increase Rotary club 
  involvement in service activities, while at the same time encouraging 
  Rotarians' personal involvement in serving others and promoting a 
  high standard of Rotary service in the community. The award is 
  revised on an annual basis by the RI president and traditionally 
  highlights the president's theme.

  To qualify for the 2006-07 citation, clubs must achieve a net 
  increase of at least one member by 1 April 2007 and complete four of 
  the activities listed on the Presidential Citation brochure. The 
  activities listed fall under the categories of membership, club 
  service, vocational service, community service, and international 
  service. Clubs must complete the Presidential Citation certification 
  form and submit it to their district governor in order to be 
  considered. In addition, Rotaract clubs may qualify for a citation by 
  submitting a Rotaract Presidential Citation certification form.
