  Thumm Estate, at Wongawallan, next to the mushroom farm, epitomises the relaxed atmosphere and picturesque scenery of the beautiful Tamborine hinterland without the hustle and bustle of Gallery Walk. An easy to escape to hideaway for morning coffee, a yummy lunch, a drop of local wine or mid afternoon coffee and cakes.
  The estate, which encompasses the cellar door wine tasting area and al fresco dining area, is under brand new management and has recently been revamped and revitalised without loosing the essence of the Thumm`s 300 year family wine making expertise, the long tradition of viticulture and wine making now safely in the hands of Robert Thumm. The new owners hope to tempt rotarians with the promise of a quiet luncheon overlooking the private lake, or perhaps coffee and cake savoured in the tranquil atmosphere.
  One of the owners, Nick Fry, says, “ The lunch menu is light, healthy and appetising, A perfect compliment to our award winning wines”. “There`s a wonderful selection of Thumm family wines, covering aged to younger wines, to our sensational 10 year old port!”

  All of our prices are reasonable and we are offering a number of Christmas specials at discounted prices.
  Groups and functions are catered for too, with set menu options available. We welcome local clubs and organizations that are looking for a venue for a group getaway.
  Local Cellar door duty manager Peter Stigwood is eager to share his passion for the winery`s products, among which is a new 2006 shiraz and a 2006 chardonnay. 
  “If you have questions about wine or just want to learn more about Thumm wines, come in and ask me anything,” he says. Explore the new Christmas stock of funky accessories for wine connoisseurs.

  Thumm Estate, at 87, Kriedman Road, Upper Coomera, is open from Tuesday to Sunday for morning teas, lunches, wine tastings and afternoon coffee and cakes.
