PR grant application deadline extended to 8 October 

The deadline for district governors to submit PR grant applications 
for the 2007-08 Rotary year has been extended to 8 October. RI 
Headquarters will be undergoing a computer server upgrade from 27-30 
September. During that time, the phone, computer and fax lines will 
be not be available. The deadline has been extended to ensure that 
all applications can be received. 

For 2007-08, grants of up to US$6,000 per district will be available. 
This parameter will ensure fairness and an equitable spread of Rotary 
promotion around the globe. Districts must contribute at least one-
third of the total PR grant amount requested and provide a detailed 
description or visual representation of any proposed artwork with 
their applications. 

The grants are designed to assist districts in reaching the general 
public by promoting Rotary and improving its public image. They'll 
help districts place RI-produced television and radio public service 
announcements, billboards, banners, and newspaper supplements 
throughout communities in the district. 

Only one application per district will be considered.
